Abstracted images of a nude figure, reclining in space. Scene perhaps set outdoors—the green at the bottom right is suggestive of grass. The figure is defined by right angles, which contrast the softer lines that radiate in the surrounding space.
Additional Information
In 1913, one of Dawson’s paintings was included in the reduced version of the Armory Show held in Chicago, at which he purchased Marcel Duchamp’s Nude (Study), Sad Young Man on a Train, 1911–12.
