Danh Võ: Rebuilding Liberty presents works by Vietnamese-born Danish conceptual artist Danh Võ, including three sculptures from his We the People series alongside Live Free or Die, a piece commissioned specifically for the Vilcek Foundation’s gallery.
Together, these works reconsider two of the most recognizable symbols in the United States: the Statue of Liberty and the American flag. Through fragmentation, material transformation, and shifts in scale and context, Võ invites viewers to reflect on liberty, migration, national identity, and the unstable meanings of public symbols.
The exhibition is free with advance registration. Visitors may reserve timed entry here. A complimentary digital audio guide will also be available through Bloomberg Connects, the free arts and culture app.
