Interview with Mridu Chandra, Director and Producer of “Indian Summer”

Mridu Chandra (born in New Delhi, India) is a writer/director based in New York CIty. She has produced many award-winning documentaries and narrative films over the past decade. In the following interview, Chandra shares her thoughts about the filming of Indian Summer, the first in a series of documentary films that explore the lives of Indians in America. She also discusses Himalaya Song, a critically acclaimed multimedia performance piece that she wrote, directed, and co-produced, which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Himalaya Song was recently performed at the Hawaii International Film Festival, and a video clip from this presentation is below.
