Daniela Alonso brings her extensive experience in digital marketing, content creation, and web design to her role as the Vilcek Foundation’s digital media coordinator. Her work focuses on developing human-centered digital initiatives that highlight the foundation’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of immigrants to society.
Originally from Venezuela, Alonso uses her personal connection to the immigrant experience to inform her approach. She is deeply committed to projects that elevate underrepresented voices and foster cross-cultural dialogue.
Alonso worked across nonprofit organizations, such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami; Miami Dade College; and the Orange County Library Systems prior to joining the foundation. Her background includes leading digital campaigns, multimedia production, UX/UI design, and visual storytelling, with a focus on creating accessible and engaging digital experiences across platforms.
Outside of the foundation, Alonso documents the everyday stories of people within her community as a street photographer. When not taking pictures, she can be found exploring the latest art exhibitions and watching new films and performances across the city.
