As the Vilcek Foundation’s IT assistant, Stefan Daniel Hopwood brings his love of technology and audio systems plus professional and project-management skills to support the foundation’s staff with technology, equipment, computing, and cybersecurity needs.
Working closely with the foundation’s director of digital, Hopwood is responsible for the maintenance of information technology systems and knowledge management. In this role, he also serves as the point person for all staff in coordinating technology needs, equipment, and technical and operational support.
Prior to working with the Vilcek Foundation, Hopwood worked as an audio engineer with Euphoria Studios in New York, and as a student service desk technician with Columbia University’s Information Technology department. Additionally, he works in business and creative development at Invite Only Studios on a client-by-client basis. In these roles, Hopwood has honed his expertise in systems management and administration, and applied his love of audio engineering and technology to support clients with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
In addition to his professional roles, Hopwood is an audio engineer, composer, and DJ with a deep appreciation for contemporary composition, music theory, and musicology. In his free time he enjoys modeling, photography and attending performances across the arts in New York.
